Aim for this year 2022

Hi all, so let's just kick this off with saying, yes it's February! I know this blog hasn't had much attention recently and to be honest so hasn't my social media activity. Let's just say I've had some good time to reflect, unwind and really acknowledge what I want to achieve for this year.

So from my last post, you'll remember I've been working with react native with a combination of Jest and Enzymes testing tools. I'll follow up with a part 2 for that blog to provide additional insight into my implementation and testing strategies. Currently, I am trying to build on my knowledge of React, which is my current project. A react native app with the implementation of redux new testing technology as suggested previously. My current work requires me to strengthen my knowledge in these areas as we are taking on more react based projects. I am building using react native as a personal goal of mine is to build mobile applications.

After this build, I will be redeveloping the application using Swift, again this a personal goal to learn native development. Potentially during the learning of swift, I will be revisiting this site and switching from MobX to redux. This is a personal preference as I've become more fond of redux and the control of the state.

While my drive will be purely swift and react this year I will look to push my self in .net projects where I get a chance. Most likely small scale projects like utilising SignalR and .Net 5 for a communications application, with some sort of end to end encryption. However, this project is just from a fascination with encryption technology and SignalR. I will also likely to implement SignalR into my CMS. For the potential of pop up notifications.

So, let's reflect! This year I am getting married in the summer. Hopefully, with cases declining in COVID cases, this should all go to plan. With this being said, my posts may not be as frequent. With this being a big year, I'll try to blog at least once a week and several social media posts weekly. In the later months of 2020, I did decide to take a break from everything. With COVID getting in the way of life I decided to reflect on what I want to do. My aim is for more learning, strengthening what I know and building on my current projects. Hopefully, this will provide you all with great insight and may help you in your journey.
